Optimise were engaged to provide industry-leading Risk Management services. The overarching goal was to establish a framework, processes and tools in preparation for commencement of the Programme. As well as delivering Project and Programme Risk Management, the commission also required a central Centre of Excellence to be established which set out the approach to be adopted by all Consultants and Contractors; a key deliverable for this scope was to provide assurance on risk data provided by the Supply Chain.
Optimise primarily supported the Client by developing an outline Risk Management Strategy, delivering Project and Programme risk management, completing an assessment and selection of new Risk Management software, and assisting with embedding a risk-based new governance framework.
During the commission, Optimise were able to assist at a strategic level when the organisation was required to ‘re-prioritise’ its portfolio of works following the Covid-19 pandemic. This included performing complex risk analysis to produce realistic cashflow data, fundamentally needed to support funding and investment decisions. This data was used alongside the Client’s Benefits Realisation Plans; reduced revenue means it is critically important to invest money on the projects that will give you the biggest return.
